A serendipitous outcome of an incident in the biscuit-making arena during the 1850s, Huntley and Palmer's mini biscuits, now known as Gems, made a feat of manoeuvring when they added icing to them in 1910, creating the much-adored Mcvities Iced Gems we have today.
